Upon being ordained at the age of 64, Fr Hogan’s first role was at Whitford Parish, Our Lady of the Mission Church, where he assisted then-Parish Priest, Fr Geoff Aldous. Last month he celebrated his 90th Birthday.

Perth Auxiliary Bishop Don Sproxton has last week Tuesday 7 February 2023 celebrated a milestone 70th birthday.

Bishop Sproxton was elected by Pope John Paul II to the episcopacy in December 2001 and ordained a bishop on 21 February 2002 at St Mary’s Cathedral.

Known affectionately as Bid to her family and friends, the 108-year-old Catholic Homes resident has seen many changes in Perth over the decades and she is astounded at the growth of the city.
