Ballajura parishioners are this month being called to come together in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the parish, and 25th anniversary of the opening of the Church of Mary MacKillop.
Speaking about the 50th anniversary of Greenwood’s All Saints Church, Parish Priest Fr Elver Delicano said one undeniable truth remains – the divine grace that sustains us.
“It is God’s grace that has nurtured our faith, brought healing to the broken, and ignited a passion for service within us,” Fr Elver said.
The BJ Hickey Scholarship is back in full swing doing what it does best – equipping students to travel interstate and around the world in their pursuit of the study of Word of God.
This year, scholarship recipients were invited to St Mary’s Cathedral grounds on 17 February, to receive their certificates, listen to past experiences of students who had travelled to study Scripture and network with each other.
The social outreach organisation was recently gifted a collection of statues and invited Emeritus Archbishop Hickey to bless them.
There was good reason for Greenwood parishioners to revel during the official blessing of All Saints Catholic Church’s pending parish centre on Sunday, 9 May.
The Archdiocese of Perth presented ten people with the 2021 BJ Hickey Biblical Foundation scholarship on Friday, 26 February, at Saint Mary’s Cathedral. The scholars will use the award to fund their various biblical courses locally, nationally, and online. By Amanda Murthy.
