After completing school and working for a few years Rita Goodchild arrived in Perth, Western Australia with nine much younger women and entered convent of the Presentation Sisters on 28 December 1950. She made first profession on the 26 January 1954. She never lost her love for Cork, her family and Nano Nagle.
In a statement released via email Monday 24 October, Loreto Ministries acting chief executive Paul Ould said that for many years, the changing demographic and educational landscape of the catchment area has presented challenges to the Loreto Province of Australia and South East Asia (the Province) and, more recently, to Loreto Ministries.
In an exclusive interview with The Record, Prensentation Sister Emmanuel Crocetti PBVM expressed how entering religious life has blessed her abundantly.
“I had plenty of time to think about it after all my studies. After my dad’s death, I spent two years with mum in Bunbury housekeeping at the Cathedral Presbytery.
“I just had that ‘feeling’ that I wanted to become a Sister, like my sisters,” she joked
