The Knights of the Southern Cross (KSC) Cathedral Branch 28, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Elizabeth Quay (REQ), have last month joint ventured in support of St Vincent De Paul’s (Vinnies) “Christmas Appeal” on 21 November, collecting non-perishable food donations and giving food hampers to those in need.
St Mary’s Cathedral lead Cantor Joshua Adams will sing with the world-class chamber choir, The Giovanni Consort, this Christmas season on the evening of 11 December.
The story of the Good Samaritan took centre stage at a special liturgical service for Parish Priests and representatives in advance of the official launch of the Archbishop’s Christmas Appeal for LifeLink 2020.

This year, as our Catholic community celebrates the wonderful feast of Christmas with the rest of our society, we do so at the very beginning of the Jubilee Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis. This special year began on December 8 and will conclude next year on the Solemnity of Christ the King on November 20, 2016.
