Catholics carry the offertory gifts during a June 9 Mass celebrated by Cardinal Peter Turkson of Cape Coast, Ghana, during his two-day pastoral visit to the small village of Ekumfi Nanaben. At the Mass, he confirmed more than a dozen people. The previous day, Cardinal Turkson held a question-and-answer session for the people, explaining the faith in easy-to-understand ways. Each month, Cardinal Turkson visits one of the 28 parishes in his archdiocese. (CNS photo/Joshua Roberts) (July 2, 2007)
