Fr Albert Saminedi Celebrates 30th Anniversary to the Priesthood

Fr Saminedi, who calls himself ‘Fr Sam’, celebrated his 30th anniversary as a priest in April surrounded by his parishioners at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Girrawheen. Having lived a full missionary life, this anniversary marks 20 years in Perth, after spending time studying and sacrificing to educate others around the globe.

Perth volunteers give flesh to the commandment ‘love as I have loved you’

Refugees remain the focus at annual Palm Sunday rally; call for new policy

Refugee Nader Hosseini, a tiler from the Hazara ethnic minority in Afghanistan has last month spoken of his anguish at being stuck on an endless loop of temporary visas.

Mr Hosseini gathered with leaders from the Archdiocese of Perth, other Christian faiths and people of good will on the lawn of St George’s Anglican Cathedral on Palm Sunday 10 April to call for a reset of Australia’s refugee policies.

Good Shepherd Sunday: ‘The only danger is that sometimes we stop listening,’ says Vocations Director
