The Bateman Parish community set out to experience the renowed ‘Hawes Heritage Tour’ from 30 August to 2 September 2021. The three-day pilgrimage was jam-packed with activity and visits primarily to significant landmarks and icons associated with Monsignor Hawes.
The Cultural Diversity Mass was celebrated on Sunday, 24 October at St Mary’s Cathedral. A new adult mental health centre will be opened by St John of God Social Outreach, part of St John of God Health Care, in Midland named Head to Health adult mental health centre.
Expected to open early 2022, the centre will offer free advice, support and, if needed, assessment and treatment for people with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

Foundress of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith, known in Australia as Catholic Mission, Pauline Jaricot was declared Venerable on 25 February 1963, by Saint John XXIII. Her beatification will occur during year marking the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
