Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB has this week welcomed the news of the appointment of Fr Michael Morrissey as the new Bishop of Geraldton.
In his 2017 Easter Message, Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB has asked the question if there is any reason to hope in the face of the dark reality of our own lives and the world in which we live.
“I have felt that God has always come to search for me to bring me back into the Christian community.”
One of the challenges facing Archbishop Costelloe is the need to keep reminding the Catholic community that we must always allow our own values and culture to be measured against the culture of the Gospel.
It has been an exciting start to the year for the Archdiocese of Perth, with three new directors bringing a mix of innovation and experience to their roles.
“We were ordained to be like candles burning in people’s lives, dispelling the darkness, providing comfort and hope, and helping people to find their way to the Lord.
