Catholics congregate on 15 August to celebrate the feast of the Assumption of Mary. St Mary’s Cathedral’s mid-day Mass was celebrated by Cathedral Dean, the Very Rev Dr Sean Fernandez, who reflected that the Blessed Mother’s life of faith and service is a role model for Catholics.
We are called in every place by our words, how we speak to one another, by our deeds, to bear witness to the new reality, said St Mary’s Cathedral Dean, Rev Dr Sean Fernandez, speaking on Friday 25 November, the United Nations (UN) International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Cathedral Dean Rev Dr Sean Fernandez said he is humbled by the generosity of the volunteers, following a special function, Saturday 19 November.
“I am always so very grateful, for the love, the care and the great enthusiasm of our volunteers, each one of them who bring their own unique gifts and charisms,” Fr Fernandez said.
