To mark the 30th anniversary of LifeLink and 25th anniversary of the Archbishop’s LifeLink Day Initiative, a light show featuring large colourful images was displayed on the exterior of the front of St Mary’s Cathedral.

The music for this years Orchestra Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral featured music from World Youth Day 2008 and also featured the music of recently knighted Sir John Rutter.

This year PAS celebrates 35 years of service to people with intellectual disability, so each person was provided with their own individual birthday cupcake labelled with the PAS logo.

The event, which was the finale of the week’s activities, saw 48 enthusiastic participants forming six teams.

In preparing the original document, the bishops consulted widely with a range of people including church leaders and health professionals. The bishops have also worked with the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.
