Students from Trinity College last month participated in the Annual College Fun Run for India.
The Fun Run was held in conjunction with other fundraising events during the year to raise money to support the College Mission programs in India.
Trinity students from Years 7 to 12 were joined by staff to run a 6km course around the Swan River.
Participants started at the Trinity College campus and ran beside the Swan River, crossing both the Causeway and Windan Bridge before finishing back at the college.
At the conclusion of the event, students celebrated the occasion with a sausage sizzle.
Trinity College has been supporting projects in India for the past 20 years.
Every two years, the college sends a team of nine students and three adults to assist at five different missions in India focused on bettering the lives of disadvantaged children.
All donations raised for the India Missions go directly to people in India.
Raising money for charity is an important part of the Christian Service program at Trinity College, and this year the college is hoping to raise over $20,000.
Headmaster Ivan Banks said the Fun Run is a small way the college can support the Missions in India.
“Through the combined efforts of the students, considerable funds are raised which are donated to a variety of orphanages and charities in India,” Mr Banks said.
“I congratulate all students involved and thank them for their fundraising efforts; they truly reflect our Man for Others ethos,” he said.
