The Lynwood–Langford community of St Jude’s Church joyfully celebrated the Easter season, proclaiming, “Jesus is Risen! He is Alive!”

Under the guidance of Parish Priest Rev Fr Terry Raj, parishioners journeyed through the Lenten season with prayerful preparation, including Lenten reflections, the Second Rite of Reconciliation, and the full liturgical observances of Holy Week.

From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, the faithful gathered to walk with Christ through His passion, death, and resurrection. The Easter Vigil, the pinnacle of the Triduum, was a moment of profound celebration, as light overcame darkness and the church echoed with Alleluia! once more.

In his Easter message, Fr Terry highlighted that “Peace” was the first word the Risen Jesus spoke to His disciples. He urged parishioners to embrace that peace and carry it into their homes and the wider world.

“In this Jubilee Year of Pilgrims of Hope, let us keep Easter joy and peace in our hearts,” he said, encouraging all to become living witnesses to the Resurrection.

The Easter celebrations at St Jude’s Church served as a powerful reminder of the hope and new life offered through Christ, inspiring the community to continue deepening their faith and sharing the light of the Risen Lord.

On Resurrection Sunday, Fr Terry Raj incensed the altar and the statue of the Risen Christ, honouring His victory over death and the glory of the Resurrection.
