Southern Cross Care, one of WA’s leading providers of aged care, health, lifestyle and retirement services will now offer a brand new service called, Southern Plus – A next generation health and wellness opportunity, changing the concept of aged care.
SCC Acting CEO, Jane O’Halloran said Southern Plus was created in response to their clients’ increasingly complex health care needs and their desires for greater flexibility and options in how they receive lifestyle and care services.
“We understand that our clients want more lifestyle and care options as they age, in order to live a full life and maintain their independence for as long as possible,” Ms O’Halloran said.
“And, we’re confident that Southern Plus will enable them to do this,” she said.
Ms O’Halloran went on to say that the new brand will not only provide care for clients but take it one step further with helping them achieve what they want to stay independent and enjoy life as they age.
“Southern Plus will do this by providing flexible health and wellness solutions; enabling them to manage any illness and to live longer in their own homes,” she said.

- Use of assistive monitoring devices to enable clients to self-manage chronic conditions, and link the information to our health management system ‘cdmNet’
- Home care promotions and packages such as ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘Hospital to Home’ offering value-for-money services to cater for particular conditions
- Meal preparation so clients can enjoy nutritious meals to stay fit and healthy
- Clinical care at home provided by our healthcare professionals to help manage chronic diseases and other health issues
- Transport to enable clients to attend social events or appointments
- Specialist support for mental health conditions including dementia and Alzheimer’s
- Access to respite centres
In addition to the above options, clients can also watch out for innovative services which include:
