Primary and secondary finance and business staff got a sneak peek at the new Administration of Schools (AOS) platform on 24 and 28 July respectively, packing out James Nestor Hall in Leederville.
The AOS platform is CEWA’s new and improved system for finance, student administration, academic management, attendance and reporting. This new software will provide schools with a clear picture of their students, and finances and resources, in real time.
The AOS Project Team, which includes Dympna Forte, Karen McGivern, Steve Halley-Wright and Marie-Dominique O’Connell, provided an overview of the new system outlining features such as the enrolment process, billing procurement, fixed assets register and an overview of the new cash to accrual reporting requirements.
Attendees were also provided with live demos and a proposed rollout and migration plan that explains what schools need to do to prepare for and adopt the AOS.
Five early adopter schools – Salvado College, Santa Maria College, St Columba’s (Bayswater), Iona Presentation College and Notre Dame Catholic Primary School, put their hand up to trial the new system, starting in September. Their experience will be invaluable in helping other schools rollout the AOS platform.
AOS Project Team Leader, Dympna Forte, said that the day had been very positive.
“There was a lot of excitement in the room and attendees left with a much clearer picture of the new system,” she said.
Principals, school leaders and IT leaders will be getting more information about how they can roll out the AOS platform at upcoming Leaders’ Forum sessions.
