Thanks to the initiative of Trevor Knuckey, the wellbeing of under privileged Aboriginal students and their families of Moorditj Noongar Community College will improve because of a new bus service.

Mr Knuckey, purchased the mini bus to help transport the students and their families with the aim of improving their education, health and wellbeing.

Mr Knuckey who has been working for the college for eight years, said he felt the need to do something more for the people.

“These students and their families never really went for health checks and students did not partake in any extra sport activities because they would not be able to afford transport to and from the venue.”

“However, they don’t have to worry about transport anymore, and can focus on improving their lifestyle,” he added.

The vehicle was blessed by Bishop Donald Sproxton at the Embleton Parish, Holy Trinity Church, after the Aboriginal Mass on March 4.
