How I pray now: Mary can go into bat for us, if we pray to her

Through my research I believe that the time of God’s justice to the ever escalating degeneration of the world is close at hand.

Professor Courtney Barthholomew speaks with Debbie Warrier,

I usually pray silently and for other people rather than myself. The distance from my home to my office is just two Rosary decades away. I try to pray the Rosary every night. I frequently attend Mass in the evening after work. Too many people do not appreciate the true gift and treasure of the Eucharist. I am the emeritus professor of medicine of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. I am also a member of Dr Robert C Gallo’s US multidisciplinary team of scientists, who co-discovered the virus of AIDS. As well as this, I have been a researcher on the mystery of Mary, the Mother of God. Many of the faithful are not taught to love and honour our Blessed Mother to the extent she deserves. She is the most important woman in creation history. I am not making her the fourth person of the Blessed Trinity. However, she is the daughter of the Father, the mother of the Son and the bride of the Holy Spirit and in that way she is intimately connected with and chosen by the Holy Trinity.
She played the co-redeeming role in God’s plan for our salvation. She was the co-redemptrix (not co-equal) but subjugated to her Son. Redemption began from the womb and was “finished” on Calvary where the suffering Redeemer was nailed to the Cross and the suffering mother stood beneath. Redemption comes from suffering. I have travelled to and researched all the Church-approved Marian shrines worldwide and their messages. I have also been a guest speaker at many Marian conferences and have written nine books on Mariology.
My latest book is entitled The End of This Era – A Linkage of Science and Religion. In it I explore the origin of the universe and life. I believe life is sacrosanct. I also believe that the Book of Genesis is totally compatible with modern day science, except that a “day” in the Book is not a 24-hour day. I devote chapters to international terrorism and suicide bombings, linking them with the AIDS virus, a microscopic international terrorist destroying life. Through my research I believe that the time of God’s justice to the ever escalating degeneration of the world is close at hand. The ancient Mayans (known for their God-given knowledge of cosmology and astronomy) prophesised that there have been cyclical major cataclysms in the world at about 4000-5000 year intervals, including the Flood. They further predicted that the next major world cataclysm will be on 2012. Of course, the date of the “fire next time” as prophesied in Peter 2:3 can only be known to God. I also note that God always gives signs and warnings to His children before a great chastisement as, for example, the Aurora Borealis in 1938 before the start of World War II as prophesied by Our Lady of Fatima in 1917.
Finally, the message of Our Lady given in Akita, Japan on October 13, 1973 (a Church-approved apparition site) to Sr Agnes Sasagawa, a Japanese nun of the Order of the Handmaids of the Eucharist was: “If men do not stop offending God, fire will fall from the sky and destroy a great part of humanity.”
I believe that the consecration of the world to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary can mitigate any chastisement.
