Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB delivered a lecture last month on the life of St John Bosco to Year 12 students from St Joseph’s College, Albany.

The lecture formed part of the students’ Stage 3 Religion and Life lessons in which they are required to investigate the relevance of a religion on a significant person in history.

The Archbishop spoke about the life of St John Bosco, whose bicentennial of birth will occur on 16 August 2015.

The students’ trip to Perth to participate in a seminar and workshop was organised by the Catholic Education Office WA.

A spokesperson for the college said the students displayed a great level of academic attitude, by taking notes during the lecture, discussing topics during the workshop and asking questions of the Archbishop

Students stayed at Swanleigh Camp in Middle Swan for two nights and had the opportunity to share more time together in their last year at the college.
