Through their leadership, Joven and Sandra aim to inspire others to join MFC and contribute to its mission of transforming lives and communities through faith and family.
Q: What is Missionary Families of Christ?
A: Missionary Families of Christ is an international Catholic lay community dedicated to evangelisation and family renewal. Recognised by the Catholic Church, MFC operates globally with members from diverse backgrounds.
Our vision and mission is to renew the face of the earth through strong, faith-driven families, defending core values of faith, family, and life.
We strive to be God’s holy warriors, as we commit to renew the temporal order through our work in defending faith, family and life. We are a servant to the Church, working to renew her children through every generation and throughout the world, until the Lord returns once again.
Q: What inspired the founding of MFC, and what are its core values?
A: MFC was inspired by the need for a community that strengthens families and supports individuals in their Christian journey. Our core values include:
- Marriage and Family: We believe in the sanctity of marriage and the importance of family as taught by Jesus Christ.
- Equal Dignity: We affirm the equal worth of men and women in the family, respecting their complementary roles.
- Parental Responsibility: We support the right and duty of parents to educate their children in Christian values.
- Gospel Practice: We encourage families to live out the Gospel message through prayer, evangelisation, and service.
- Community Life: We see ourselves as a global family, sharing support and love while advocating for social justice and simplicity.
Q: How does MFC engage with local communities?
A: MFC engages with local communities through various ministries tailored to different life stages:
- MFC-Kids: Supports children aged 4-12, helping parents teach Christian values.
- MFC-Youths: Provides a supportive environment for teenagers to grow in their faith while enjoying youthful activities.
