Exciting renovations are well underway at the St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice, with patients moving into the first five completed rooms on 21 January.
The refurbishment to the 20-bed purpose-built palliative care unit has been funded by Hospice Community Gift Fund, which has raised over $5 million through the years.
Donations have come from patients, community members and families through the St John of God Foundation, which supports many not-for-profit initiatives, including the Murdoch Community Hospice.
When complete, the project will provide exceptional facilities and quality of care to palliative patients and their family members, with all rooms and communal areas getting a face lift.
The remaining patient rooms and general areas will be renovated over the coming months.
