St John of God Health Care is currently in the planning process to build a standalone, state of the art, private hospital near the current St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals, discusses CEO and Director of Nursing Paul Dyer.

“With Midland and surrounding areas experiencing strong population growth, the demand for high quality private services close to home is expected to grow in the coming years,” Mr Dyer said.

“Based in the historic Midland Workshops, in the heart of a rapidly developing ‘health and knowledge’ precinct, the new hospital will provide an enhanced level of private health care to the region,” he said.

“Incorporating the stunning heritage buildings onsite, it will offer a range of acute medical and surgical services as well as on site radiology and pharmacy services, retail stores, cafe and a variety of consulting suite options onsite,” Mr Dyer explained.

“The new standalone hospital aims to meet the future needs of the community and provide more options to patients and doctors,” he continued.

“It will build on the services offered at our current co-located private hospital, which includes 60 private beds and a range of medical and surgical services.”

The new standalone private hospital will offer state of the art facility design, single rooms, minimal waiting times, doctor of choice, more private health services to the region and compassionate, private care closer to home.
