Canning Vale parishioners have recently celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi with a public procession around the local streets of St Emilie’s Church.

The procession is now in its seventh year – with skies clearing at the end of morning Mass providing a 45minute window free from rain.

A group of more than 200 parishioners participated in the procession led by Parish Priest Fr Jean Noel Marie carrying the Monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament.

The group processed around surrounding streets praying the Rosary, while dodging cars, presenting the Blessed Sacrament to all passers-by.

It was, as usual, a spiritually moving event. On returning to the Church, Fr Jean Noel celebrated Benediction.
