Mercy Education Limited has announced the appointment of Luci Quinnas the new Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Education, effective from 5 October 2026.
Mercy Education said Ms Quinn was exceptionally well-placed to lead and influence Catholic education as a system leader.
She commenced her teaching career in 1990 and brings extensive experience as a principal and leader in Catholic education. Since 2019, she has been Principal of Clonard College in Geelong, a Catholic girls’ college with nearly 1000 students.
Ms Quinn has a deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education in Australia and is a highly regarded Catholic education leader with exceptional credentials in culture building, governance, Catholic identity and school renewal.
She is the current (peer-elected) President of the Principals’ Association of Victorian Catholic Secondary Schools (PAVCSS) and Victorian Director of Catholic Secondary Principals Australia (CaSPA).
Ms Quinn has a Master of Educational Leadership, Professional Certificate in Instructional Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Theology – Women’s Leadership for Mission.
She recently completed the Harvard Graduate School of Education – Achieving Excellence in Leadership program. Ms Quinn received the 2022 ACEL Victorian Fellowship Award for Inspiring Educational Leaders and is a professional mentor to female leaders, with a passion for advancing the role of women in leadership.
Ms Quinn said she accepted the role with a strong sense of calling and gratitude.
“I feel blessed to be joining Mercy Education as Chief Executive Officer at this exciting time, serving the Board, working alongside Principals and school communities, and leading the National Office team,” she said.
“I bring to this role a passion for Catholic education, a commitment to honouring and deepening the Mercy charism, and a desire to lead with presence, integrity and joy.
“I look forward to getting to know each community and to helping bring the Mercy Education vision and future strategy to life, as together we continue to grow faith-filled communities of educational excellence where children, young people and staff can thrive.”
Board Chair of Mercy Education Limited, Audrey Brown, said the appointment will be of significant benefit to the Mercy Education community.
“Luci’s witness as a Catholic education leader grounded in mission and service, along with her rich experience as both a principal and system leader committed to continuous school improvement, will be valued by the Mercy Education community,” she said.

As Chief Executive Officer, Ms Quinn will lead the Executive of Mercy Education in supporting the Board’s governance and work closely with the Principals of Mercy Education’s thirteen colleges across Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria to provide high-quality, faith-led education, inspired by the charism of Catherine McAuley.
Mercy Education also acknowledged the “outstanding stewardship and contribution” of Andy Kuppe, Interim Chief Executive Officer since September 2025.
Sheree Limbrick will continue to lead Mercy Education until Ms Quinn commences in the role. Ms Limbrick was appointed Interim CEO in July.
