The benefits of residential college life were on display recently as St Thomas More College (also known as Tommy More) celebrated its annual Open Day and Market Day that brought together students, families, alumni, and staff.

Under the guidance of Resident Advisors, prospective students and their families explored all that Tommy More has to offer, from the College’s facilities to its academic and pastoral support, and welcoming community.

Complementing the tours, the lively Market Day activities included a variety of stalls that offered something for everyone – from delicious BBQ and sweet treats prepared by the Chapel community to fun games, activities, and raffles. All funds raised from the day went towards supporting vulnerable children at Lidy House in Cambodia.

Market Day is part of the College’s ongoing support for Cambodia that also includes the Cambodia Half Marathon in May and an immersion program in

November where students visit disabled children at the Arrupe Centre and young people living at the Lidy House Welcome Centre.

These initiatives not only support the communities in Cambodia but also offer students a unique perspective on service, solidarity, and global citizenship.

Guided by our Catholic values, St Thomas More College aims to foster an environment where togetherness, inclusiveness and kindness are at the heart of daily life.

Through shared experiences, respectful dialogue, and active engagement, the values of personal growth, connection, and service to others are encouraged and celebrated.
