Indigenous culture celebrated at UNDA during NAIDOC week

The rich history and culture of the Aboriginal and Torres Islander peoples was celebrated at The University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, last week, in a special event that highlighted this year’s NAIDOC Week theme: We all Stand on Sacred Ground: Learn, Respect, Celebrate.

Tania conducting vital research for better NFL standards at UNDA

Tania Spiteri, Lecturer in Health Sciences at The University of Notre Dame Australia, is this month conducting vital research with the National Football League (NFL) in Dallas, USA to improve the performance standards, on-field decision making and fitness capacity of 160 officials.

Former Archdiocese of Perth Communications and Media Manager James Parker has last week met with AFL team the Adelaide Crows Chaplain Mark Purser to talk about Sports Chaplaincy and the role he has played at the club following the tragic death of Coach Phil Walsh.

eRecord journalist Dr Marco Ceccarelli, who completed a PhD last year focusing on Catholic responses to Islamic terrorism, last month attended an eConference facilitated by the Maranatha Centre which looked at the question of violence and peace in the three Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
