Encounter encompasses meeting with Christ, with others and with oneself

The Australian branch of a Catholic movement, which began in Spain in 1944, held its biennial National Encounter in Canberra from 16-18 October. Members of the Australian Catholic Cursillo movement gathered at the Greenhills Conference Centre to celebrate their charism with a series of talks, meditations and related activities.

2015 LIFELINK CHRISTMAS APPEAL – Good Samaritan calls us to love the other in same way as we have been loved by God

Inspiring educator and leader goes to the Father – the life of Des O’Sullivan

Friends and family recently mourned the passing of Kevin Desmond (Des) O’Sullivan, a man whose endless qualities as mentor, teacher and leader were praised by those fortunate enough to have known him. Mr O’Sullivan passed away peacefully on 5 October 2015, having lived an eventful life beside his wife of 56 years, Barbara O’Sullivan, his five children Mark, Julie, Peter, Rebecca and Margaret, as well as eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Catenians unite through celebration of annual Mass for deceased

More than 200 people attended the annual Mass for deceased members of the Catenian Association of WA held on 4 October 2015 at St Mary’s Cathedral, Perth. Celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Don Sproxton, the Mass featured as the most important event in the Catenian calendar and offered members an opportunity to unite in support of widows and family members of deceased Catenians.
