Hailing originally from Saigon, South Vietnam, Fr Minh Thuy is the middle child of five children to Nghiem Nguyen and Tuoi Nguyen (nee Nguyen).

With some 32 years’ experience across the Archdiocese of Perth, the Thornlie Parish Priest has last week been appointed the new Episcopal Vicar for Clergy.

Perth priest Fr Milton Arias was recently farewelled during a funeral service in his home Diocese of Valledupar, Columbia. Fr Milton passed away on 8 August 2022.
In an interview with The Record for his ordination to the priesthood in 2003, Fr Milton said he felt very privileged that God has called him.

Ordained 4 September 1984 by then Archbishop William Foley, Fr Francis Ly Van Ca will be remembered for his dedication to the Vietnamese Community, in addition to his numerous roles across the Archdiocese of Perth. He passed away 26 July 2022.

Redemptoris Mater seminarian Felipe Fernandez will tonight be ordained to the Order of Deacon by Auxiliary Bishop Don Sproxton, at St Mary’s Cathedral.

The ClerecWest Multi-Sports Day, which has been held for some 25 years, was this year held on Monday 2 May, and enabled clergy from across the Archdiocese the opportunity to choose between participating in one or two recreational games, including tennis, soccer, golf, badminton or ten-pin bowling.

Growing up in Kingsley with his parents and siblings, Perth born 27-year-old Nicholas says his vocation towards the priesthood has stemmed from having a lived faith experience transmitted through his family.
