In ordaining 30-year-old Felipe Fernandez from Redemptoris Mater Seminary to the priesthood, Friday 2 June, Perth Auxiliary Bishop Sproxton said that the priesthood asks of those who are called to go on a pilgrimage with God.
Upon being ordained at the age of 64, Fr Hogan’s first role was at Whitford Parish, Our Lady of the Mission Church, where he assisted then-Parish Priest, Fr Geoff Aldous. Last month he celebrated his 90th Birthday.

Speaking at the 50th anniversary of the Our Lady of the Rosary Church of Doubleview Parish, Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB explained that the parish, under the care of the Dominican friars, has been striving to live in communion with the Lord and His Church, and was coming together to celebrate all the ways in which the community has been faithful to this call.
The annual Clergy Recreation Day on Monday 1 May, was organised by CleRecWest and attended by more than 50 priests across the various sports. The day concluded with a shared evening meal at Keralee Tavern in Como which included an awards ceremony.
