St Thomas More College, affectionately known as Tommy More, has recently celebrated its Valedictory Mass to honour residents who are moving on from college life.
The Mass was an opportunity for the community to come together in faith, give thanks for the friendships and memories made, and reflect on the experiences that have shaped their time at Tommy More.
Tommy More was delighted to welcome the Aquinas College Schola Cantorum, whose beautiful singing added a special warmth to the celebration.
Their voices brought the community together in faith and made the Mass a memorable occasion for the residents and the wider College community.
The collaboration was a wonderful opportunity for two Catholic educational communities to come together through their shared values of faith, service and community.
The generosity of the Aquinas College students, who gave up their time after school to rehearse and sing at the Mass, was a lovely expression of these values and a reminder of the ways young people can contribute to the lives of others.
The Valedictory Mass was more than a farewell. It was a change to celebrate the community residents had built, the friendships they had formed and the values they would carry with them into the next chapter of their lives.
At the conclusion of the Mass, graduating residents received a crucifix as a gift from the College, serving as a lasting reminder of their faith and their connection to Tommy More.
St Thomas More College extends its thanks to the Aquinas College Schola Cantorum and staff for sharing their time and talents.
Their presence was a reminder of how music can bring people together, and how connections formed through faith, respect and a sense of belonging could reach far beyond the walls of our own College.
