St Thomas More College (Tommy More) is pleased to announce Amy Price has been appointed as Deputy Head of College.
Amy joins Tommy More from Geraldton Grammar where she held the position of Deputy Principal.
She brings significant experience in student wellbeing and engagement, pastoral care, educational leadership and governance to her new role, along with a proven track record of fostering supportive, inclusive communities and a demonstrated alignment with the College’s mission and values.
Commenting on her appointment, Amy said she was looking forward to working with the leadership team to help strengthen Tommy More’s supportive, inclusive community.
“My focus is on promoting an environment where students can flourish throughout their educational journey – intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually,” she said.
“I am also committed to fostering a cooperative and respectful culture, where students feel valued, appreciated, and meaningfully included.”
The Deputy Head of College plays a pivotal role in supporting the life of the College, leading student services, and contributing to the ongoing development of a safe, respectful, and connected residential community.
In addition to her more than 20 years of teaching experience, Amy also brings experience across team building and collaboration, developing and implementing curriculum frameworks, strategic planning, conflict resolution, mediation, and performance management.
Amy’s appointment follows the appointment earlier in the year of Mim Jones as Head of College and CEO.
“I am confident Amy will make a valuable contribution to both the College and our broader university and Church communities,” Mim said.
Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB will celebrate the commissioning Mass for Mim at the College Chapel on Sunday 12 July.
