Catholic Health Australia has appointed Tim Udorovic as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Udorovic brings extensive experience as a senior leader across government, consulting, and mission-driven organisations, including most recently in the Catholic education sector where he was responsible for enterprise-wide strategy, advocacy and policy in Australia’s largest non-government school system – Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools.

He has also worked as a senior ministerial adviser in federal and state governments and as a management consultant at KPMG Australia, building a reputation for thoughtful leadership and an ability to bring together stakeholders around shared strategic objectives.

Chair of Catholic Health Australia, Jenny Parker, said Mr Udorovic would bring significant expertise to the role given his background in strategy and corporate affairs and his commitment to mission-led advocacy.

“Tim will lead the implementation of a new three-year strategy that will guide our work as the largest network of not-for-profit health, aged care and community providers in Australia,” Ms Parker said.

“Our hospitals and aged care providers are deeply valued by the people and communities they serve, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised. It is their mission of care and compassion that defines them.”

Mr Udorovic said CHA had an essential and unique role to play at a time of significant pressure and reform, advocating for members who make extraordinary contributions to the health and wellbeing of thousands of Australians every day.

“CHA members support people at some of the most important and difficult moments in their lives,” he said.

“By listening closely to our members, championing their impact and advocating strongly for policy settings that support better outcomes, CHA will continue to be a trusted voice for members, driven by a shared commitment to human dignity, compassion and the common Good.”

Ms Parker also thanked Interim CEO Kathy Hilyard for her leadership and support of the Board and staff in recent months.

Dr Katharine Bassett, Director of Health Policy, will act in the CEO role until Mr Udorovic commences in late July.
