A new line dancing group aimed at bringing people together has already proved to be a success.
Whitford parishioner Alma Turner, founder of the new group, was also the former co-ordinater of The Friendship Group.
While The Friendship Group sadly ceased function during COVID, Mrs Turner is eager for parishioners near and far to join the line dancing group.
The first function, which was held in November just before Christmas, was led by experienced teacher Tom Turner.
Promotions across various parishes brought more than 30 people together, with Mrs Turner noting there is room for more.
“This ministry is all about bringing people together and we would love for you to join us,” Mrs Turner said.
“No experience is required, and you don’t need a partner,” she said.
The dances we teach are simple and fun, and even if you’ve never danced before we guarantee you will love it.
The Line Dancing group takes place every Tuesday in the Parish Hall at 10.15am.
