The Chosen: Last Supper, the fifth season of the acclaimed series, is set to premiere in cinemas across Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania on 27 March, 2025, distributed by Crossroad Distributors.
This cinematic release coincides with the weeks leading up to Easter, offering audiences a profound portrayal of the pivotal events in Christian history.
Creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins has expressed immense enthusiasm for this season, stating, “I’m possibly more excited to bring Season 5 to the world than any other season we’ve done.”
Mr Jenkins acknowledges the extensive effort involved, noting that the season’s complexity necessitated a longer production timeline, with its release scheduled for March 2025.
The Chosen: Last Supper delves into the final week of Jesus’ life, capturing the anticipation of his disciples and the escalating tensions with religious and political authorities.
The Season 5 trailer shows Jesus arriving in Jerusalem, throwing the merchants and money changers out of the temple, glimpses of the Last Supper, and other events leading up to his passion and death.
In the United States and Canada, the season will be released in three parts over a four-week period:
- Part One: Episodes 1-2
- Part Two: Episodes 3-5
- Part Three: Episodes 6-8
This staggered release allows viewers to engage deeply with each segment of the story.
Starting 10 April 2025, The Chosen: Last Supper will also be available in over 40 global territories, including Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Philippines, and India.
Following its theatrical run, the season is expected to debut on streaming platforms later in 2025.
