Introducing Plenary Member, Fr George Kolodziej SDS, Congregational Leader of the Salvatorians in Australia.
Fr George was ordained to the Priesthood by the Archbishop of Krakow, Cardinal Franciszek Macharski, in Trzebinia Poland on the 28 May 1994, arriving in Australia in September that year.
On arrival to Australia, Fr George worked in parish ministry in the Archdiocese of Perth and from January 1997 to 2000, Fr George worked as a school chaplain in Chisholm Catholic College while at the same time continuing his work as an Assistant Priest at Greenmount Parish.
From there, he moved east to become Chaplain to St Leos College Wahroonga. He was also Assistant Priest at Pymble Parish for two years. While remaining as full time Chaplain at Leos, he was then transferred to St Patricks Church, East Gosford where he was Assistant Priest for six years.
With a Masters of Theology, Masters of Psychotherapy/Counselling and Diploma in Addiction studies, Fr George is a registered clinical psychotherapist with PACFA.
His key interest is church ministry, helping people to find God in their lives and to discover that He loves them. In his spare moments, which are few, he likes to travel and he also speaks more than five languages!
Since the beginning of 2019 Fr George works also as Chaplain for Catholic Education Western Australia.
