Community members of St Norbert’s College Queens Park were last week honoured with the visit of the International Abbott General of the Norbertine Order, Abbot Thomas Anton Handgrätinger O Praem.

Abbott Thomas travelled from Rome to spend time with the parish and school community, where he was welcomed by the principal, Mrs Annette Morey, and given a tour of the school with college Prior, Father Peter Joseph.

The Abbott General also took the opportunity to speak with parents of potential students at the Annual College Open Day on Monday, 9 March, many of whom were delighted at his vast knowledge of Norbertine history.

Members of the Norbertine Tertiaries Group of Queens Park, together with the Western Australian-based Norbertines and other special guests also joined the Abbot General at Vespers, followed by a light supper barbeque in the Priory gardens on Sunday, 8 March.
