In the morning I pray for the conversion of my family, the sick and myself. I say all those special prayers for the souls in purgatory because I’m banking on them helping me – it’s a two-way street. On Mondays, I usually go to Mass and Adoration. Tuesdays, I do Mass and Rosary. Wednesdays, I attend a Latin Mass if I can. Thursdays, I pray with a Charismatic prayer group. Fridays I attend a wonderful prayer group out at Maddington. Saturdays, I do a Novena. Sundays, I attend a Latin Mass.
I am into everything. So long as God’s there I am there. I love the Latin Mass. I can sense God there. When it’s the sung Mass I say to Him, “I don’t want to be anywhere else but where I am right now.” I loved it as a child and I love it now as an adult. I can be moved to tears because it is just so beautiful.
In the mid-80s I became a member of the Australian Labor Party. Around 1995 I resigned from the ALP because of its pro-choice legislation amongst other issues. This year I joined the Democratic Labor Party. I love Australia and I hate to see what is happening to the Church.
In the last couple of months I have been getting a message in my head when I attend Adoration. The message is, “Lead my people.”
I am passionately pro-life and I think God is asking me to lead others in this cause. Recently I spoke at a Marian Movement Cenacle. My talk was on the need for Catholics to stand up against abortion. Father Paul Fox encouraged us to do so during Mass that same day.
It was like a confirmation that I was on the right track.
I am starting a petition for amendments to pro-choice legislation addressed to the West Australian Legislative Assembly. I want every Christian to sign. It is our right to do so. The pro-choice stance is unconstitutional and a breach of liberty which includes the right to life.
If the baby lives before an abortion and this is verified by the doctor present, the mother is entitled to a bereavement payment.
If our Members of Parliament don’t believe abortion causes the death of a baby, why is that so? It is a baby. It is life from the very beginning.
Those wishing to sign the petition can contact me on 9440 3661. The undersigned will be using their legal and lawful duty to let Parliament know their will.  I plan to present the petition to Parliament in person by May 26, 2010.
I would like to arrange a rally and Mass that same day. Why should we give politicians the right to decide life or death? Before facing those who legalise this culture of death I always say my Hail Mary’s. I find that the words just flow and believe it’s God speaking. I know I can’t do it alone. I want people to understand their rights and know that we are in control, not the politicians. In the constitution it is written that the law must be humbly interpreted according to God’s principles. Knowing the constitution will help people know that God is with them. We must reclaim our faith.
